Urban Green Energy Ships First Orders of its 2nd Generation Vertical Axis Wind Turbine
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 3, 2008 -- Urban Green Energy, a wind turbine company, announced today that it has shipped the first orders of its 2nd Generation Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT). Urban Green Energy has been taking orders for the 2nd Generation VAWT since the product was launched in early September. The first deliveries will be made to customers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Sweden, Lebanon, and South Korea.
The 4kW vertical axis wind turbine, designed and produced by Urban Green Energy, is the culmination of almost two years' work. The 2nd Generation product line was specifically designed to have an aesthetic appeal along with improved performance and durability over other vertical axis wind turbines. The Urban Green Energy wind turbines mount easily on most roofs, are quieter than a human whisper, and are available in a variety of colors.
The 4kW version is the first of four sizes planned for the 2nd Generation product line, with smaller and larger sizes becoming available over the next few months. The 4kW was selected as the first model produced as it can completely offset an average American home's energy usage.
Purchasers of Urban Green Energy's 4kW VAWT are eligible for the 30% tax credit for small wind turbines recently announced by the US Government.
The 4kW 2nd Generation Vertical Axis Wind Turbine is available through Urban Green Energy's website and through its distributors. Current delivery times are estimated at 8 to 10 weeks.
